These are made from a combination of polypropylene, which is a resin with high chemical resistance, and fibre-reinforced plastic, which has high strength. This combination of resistance and strength makes it incredibly useful in industries for chemical storage. The reinforced fibreglass is layered with a resin matrix. Specialized layering methods are employed, such as hand lay-up or filament winding. These are cured and demolded, and finally stabilizers like UV-resistant agents are added in layers.
